Kicking caffeine: Day 7
It’s been an entire week without the substance. Earlier, I was thinking to myself, “Do you feel any different? Do you notice anything different about your sleep patterns?”
Initially my answer was a resounding NO to both questions. I’ve had two HORRIBLE days where I felt absolutely awful. I blogged about one of them already, and then I had one yesterday. Yesterday was bad… headache, nausea, etc… which is odd, I thought after 6 days I’d be over the cold turkey withdrawal symptoms. Of course, headaches can also be a symptom of sleep apnea, so it’s sometimes hard to tell where one leaves off and the other begins…
However, I just realized that one very large difference between now and when I was drinking the stuff is that in the afternoons, I feel much more alert than I did before. I’m attributing this to the lack of a “crash” after chugging large quantities of caffeine.
I plan on keeping this up for another week… so we’ll see if I notice any other changes.
